Songwriting
Songwriter for Hire – in Three Languages
For your artist project, your brand, or someone you want to give something that lasts: I write songs that sound like a person, not like a template. In English, German or Spanish.
Who I Write For
I’m Sani Baladi, a singer-songwriter based in Hamburg, Germany. My debut single “2 Glasses” has passed 140,000 streams, and “Oversized Sweater” went into rotation on NDR 2 and MTV Germany. In 2026 I opened a German-language chapter as BALADI with “10. Stock”.
Writing in three languages is not a footnote. A lyric lives on sound, not only on meaning – and someone at home in English, German and Spanish can keep turning a line until it is singable, not merely correct.
- Artists & bands – toplines, lyrics, complete songs for your release
- Co-writing – written with you, not at you
- Brands & companies – songs for campaigns, brand films, anniversaries
- Personal occasions – a song as a gift, built from your story
- Lyrics only – when the melody and production already exist
- Three languages – English, German, Spanish, or mixed
From First Call to Finished Song
A clear process with fixed feedback points and no endless loops.
- 01 BriefingWe talk through what this is about: the occasion, the mood, reference artists, who will hear it. For personal songs I ask for the details that later become lines.
- 02 First draftYou get a demo – voice and one instrument, no big production. That is where feedback is worth the most, because everything can still change.
- 03 RefiningWe work the draft: melody, lines, structure. Two revision rounds are included, more if we agree on them upfront.
- 04 Production & deliveryIf you want, I produce the song to release standard. Otherwise you receive the demo, lyrics and chords documented cleanly.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does hiring a songwriter cost?
It depends on what you need: lyrics only, lyrics and melody, or a fully produced song. Usage matters too – a private gift song is priced differently from a campaign with reach. Describe the project and you get a fixed quote.
How long does it take?
Two to four weeks from first draft to finished song, including revisions. If you have a hard date – a wedding, a campaign launch, a release – plan for six weeks.
Which languages do you write in?
English, German and Spanish. I have released my own records in all three, including “Laberinto” in Spanish and “10. Stock” in German. Mixed-language songs are possible too.
Who owns the song?
We settle that in writing beforehand. For commissioned work you get the usage rights for the agreed purpose; for co-writes we split the shares fairly. I put this on the table before we start.
Can I write with you?
Please do. Many of the best songs come out of co-writing. Bring a fragment of lyric, a melodic idea, or just a feeling – we build from there.
Do you work with artists outside Germany?
Yes. Most of my collaborations run remotely across Europe and the US, through shared sessions and video calls. Time zones have never been the hard part.
What Should Your Song Say?
Write me a few lines about the idea. You get an honest answer on whether I am the right writer for it.
